David M. Sereno, Jr.

David M. Sereno, Jr. age 43 of Woodhull, NY passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born October 23, 1978 in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of David M. and Cynthia A. (Miller) Sereno, Sr. David worked for D & A Construction as a driver, he was a heavy equipment operator and was in business with his dad. He enjoyed working on vehicles and trucks. David was Captain for 3 years, Past President and a member of the Woodhull Fire Department, served as Fire Commissioner, was on the Woodhull Community Days committee and a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, where he enjoyed cooking the BBQ chicken for the annual fall festival. David was a kindred soul, who loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding and riding 4-wheelers. He was diverse when it came to music, liking all genres from Big Band to country and was an avid John Wayne and Dukes of Hazard fan. He had a bold laugh that took over any room he walked in. Most of all he had a special love for his nieces and nephews. David is survived by his parents, Dave and Cindy Sereno of Woodhull; his brothers, Jason and Maureen Sereno of Ashburn, VA and Adam and Ranay Sereno of Tonawanda, NY; his sister, Sarah (Joe Zdarsky) Sereno of Tonawanda, NY; nieces and nephews, Keegan, Presley, Wyatt and Landon and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Barbara Sereno and Don and Cess Miller. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Thursday, 4:00 – 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Elkland. Burial will follow in Butler Hill Cemetery.
