Eleanor Gibney age 85 of Lawrenceville passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at UPMC Wellsboro. Born January 19, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fioravante and Josephine (Perillo) Eliane. Ellie married Richard A. Gibney on August 9, 1959 and the shared 62 years together until his passing this year on March 27, 2022. She worked for many years as the executive secretary for American Express, loved music, all genres and hummingbirds. Ellie was a very traditional classy, beautiful woman inside and out, taking meticulous care of her home and family. She welcomed all into her home and will always be remembered for her homemade Italian Sunday sauce that was enjoyed by all. She enjoyed her close friends and family and was loved by so many. Ellie is survived by her children, Todd R. Gibney of Tucson, AZ, Corinne (Jeffrey) Wood of Tioga, PA and Jennifer Gibney of Buffalo, NY: grandchildren, Megan, Anthony, Alexandria, Nicholas, Vincent and Victor; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richie; and siblings, Edward, Louise and Jeanette. Private family service will be held.
