Ida L. Burnside

Ida L. Burnside, age 87 of Lawrenceville passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro. Born November 6, 1934 in Nelson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elva (Bliss) Farr. Ida married Donald E. Burnside on November 24, 1950 and they shared 65 years together until his passing on Aug. 1, 2016. They lived a busy life together; camping and traveling. She was an active member of TOPS and the Calvary United Methodist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, word search, hummingbirds and restaurants; especially if pie was on the menu. Ida is survived by her children, Gary (Doreen) Burnside of Tioga and Sheila (Thomas) Cuneo of Tioga; grandchildren, Holly (David) Irwin of Tioga, Ryan (Nicole) Cuneo of Tioga, Adam Burnside of Corning, NY, Betty Jo Kio of Tioga, Karla Simonds of Tioga, Kristopher Bolt of Corning, NY and Eric (Amanda) Bolt of Nelson; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Emma Cummings of Corning, NY; special friends, Deb Campbell of Corning, NY and Harold Hough of Corning, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; grandson, Bradley Cuneo; great grandson, Adam Burnside, Jr; brothers, Arnold, Elwin, Paul, Donnie and Russell Farr; sister, Wanda Putnam and a nephew, Keith Putnam. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Tuesday, October 4th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM with Pastor Janelle Moser officiating.
