He married Phebe Berdanier in 1953 and together they have shared 69 loving years and raised five wonderful children. John followed generations of farming, hunting and loving the great outdoors. He was respected for his farm management and was always lending a helping hand. He was active in many local community and county organizations and a lifelong member and former trustee of the Knoxville Methodist Church. John will be remembered for his positive attitude and looking for a cheerful spin to life’s hardships.
