Marcia D. Elliott

Marcia D. Elliott, age 87 of Westfield, who welcomed everyone “Door’s Open, Coffee’s On” passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with her family by her side. Born May 25, 1934 in Westfield, she was the daughter of the late Lyman S. and Gertrude (Bradt) Dibble. Marcia graduated from the Belvedere School of Beauty Culture in Elmira, NY. She owned and operated Marcia’s Beauty Shop. She also worked at Chit Chat in Westfield, was a caregiver, owned the Neighborhood Café in Jasper, helped on their farm and even drove the cattle truck. She was an active member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church, the Kitchen Band in Galeton and many coffee klatches throughout the valley. Marcia enjoyed telling stories, cooking and collecting recipes, playing Mexican train dominoes and helping anyone. The most important activity of all was to be involved in the lives of her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Vonda (Eldridge) and Allan Reed of Mansfield, PA, Jack and Vicki Eldridge of New Providence, PA, Luan (Painter) and John Kowalski of Westfield, PA and Myra (Painter) Stinehart of Monroe, NC; grandchildren: Jason and Amy Reed, Brit (Larry Bellows) Reed, Verena and Wesley Lichty, Amanda (Noah Ponzio) Eldridge, Jessica Eldridge, Samuel and Nichole Eldridge, Cody Kowalski, Courtney (Kowalski) and Corey Anderson, Katie (Kowalski) and Kevin Young, Travis (Kelly Lampman) Youse, Michaela Stinehart and Ryder Stinehart; 29 great grandchildren; her sister: Sherell and Charlie Boom of Westfield, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands: David A. Eldridge, Terry G. Painter and James R. Elliott and a brother: Lyman Dibble. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield on Saturday, 3:00 – 7:00 PM and on Sunday at the Westfield United Methodist Church, 1:00 – 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Marcia’s Life will be held immediately following at the church, 2:00 PM with Pastor Jason Reed, grandson, Rev. Ed Rodarmel and Ed Heyler officiating. Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery.
