Obituary

Mary Marie Ross Baker, age 70 of Harrison Valley passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at UPMC Cole in Coudersport. Born July 7, 1952 in Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford H. and Mabel M. (Counsil) Ross. Mary graduated from Lock Haven High School. She married Keith L. Baker and they shared 50 years together until his passing on July 31, 2022. Mary worked for Leather’s for many years, she worked at Knoxville Components and was the owner of Baker & Baker Appliance. She played the guitar and sang in a band and led worship services at several area churches. Mary enjoyed the outdoors, cutting firewood, painting houses and stripping furniture but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her children, Angela and Kelly Swede and Terry Baker of Harrison Valley; grandchildren, Steven Baker and Darian Swede; three great grandchildren, Roseallena Smith, Alexandra Baker and Drake Baker and a brother, David (Jean) Ross of State College. Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Karstetter, Emma Lou Rupert and Sylvia Johnson Lozier. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
