Norma J. Payne

The family of Norma Jean (Potter) Payne, age 95 of Potterbrook, Pa is sad to announce, after a long and full life, her passing on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by loved ones. Born on July 4, 1927 in Campbell, Ny, she was a daughter to the late J.C. and Martha (Travis) Potter. Norma married Richard Payne on November 16, 1946 and spent 58 loving years together until his passing on December 9, 2004. She enjoyed canning her vegetables from her own garden and spending time with her cat, Pebbles. Norma also loved spending time with her grandsons; Jeff and Debbie Romaneo of Williamsville, Ny, Kip and Amy Adams of Knoxville, Pa and Chris and Angie Adams of York, Pa. She ESPECIALLY enjoyed her great-grandchildren; Ethan Romaneo, Katie and Bo Adams, Cole, Tyler and Justin Adams. Norma is survived by her daughter, Janet Adams of Knoxville, Pa; son-in-law, David Romaneo of Williamsville, Ny; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents; daughter, Judy Romaneo; son-in-law, Jim Adams; brothers, Marcean and James Potter; and sister, Ilene Parker. As per Norma’s request, a family graveside memorial will be held at a later date at Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, Pa. She was loved by family and friends and will be missed very much!
