Norman E. Bacon

Norman E. Bacon, age 74 of Westfield passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at UPMC Wellsboro. Born April 15, 1947 in Wellsboro, he was the son of the late Roy and Lillian Bacon. Norm retired from the DCNR Forestry Department after serving in the Army and having several odd jobs in his youth. After retiring, Norm could almost always be found on his farm in Little Marsh, where he enjoyed hunting, working in his garage, sawing logs on his homemade sawmill and watching his grandkids. Norm will always be remembered as a quiet man, but also intelligent and caring. He loved to tinker and had a natural talent for making and building things. He was often called on by neighbors and friends to fix farm machinery and other broken things, which he always happily did. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carole; their son, Andrew and Kelly Bacon of Middlebury; their daughter, Theresa and Cale Mead of Sabinsville; three grandchildren, Owen, Avery and Eli and a brother, Roy Bacon of Keeneyville.
