Paul A. Truax

Paul A. Truax, age 76 of Lawrenceville, PA passed away on July 26, 2022 at UPMC Wellsboro. Born on June 14, 1946 in Wellsville, NY, he was the son of the late Earl and Leota (Holt) Truax. Paul worked at Corning, Inc. for 40 plus years before leaving. He was an avid traveler, a Giant’s fan, a member of the Moose and a social member of the VFW. Paul is survived by his wife, Sandra (Slade) Truax of Lawrenceville, PA; children, Stepanie (Andrew) Walters of Elkland, PA, Paul (Lisa) Truax Jr. of Lawrenceville, PA, Casey Truax (Julie) of Tioga, PA and Travis Truax of Lawrenceville, PA; step-daughter, Shalene Mack of Corning, NY; grandchildren, Adriana (Kyle) Heffner, Britney Walters, William Walters, Alexander Walters, Haley Truax, Dylan Madison, Bailee Madison, Owen Truax, Harper Truax and Landon Truax; step-grandchildren, Kaori Mack and Braylon Mack; sister, Jean Beckhorn of Shinglehouse, PA; brothers, Claire Slawson of Wellsville, NY, Norman Buchanan of Coudersport, PA and Carl Slawson of Florida; and brother-in-law, Joe Gausman of St. Mary’s, PA. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his first wife, Joyce (Hackett) Truax; sister, Jane Gausman; and brothers, Tom Truax, Sam Truax and Dave Clarke. Family and friends are welcome to Kenyon Funeral Home, Elkland, PA for calling hours on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and then on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Denelsbeck officiating. Interment at Highland Cemetery will take place on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10:00 am.
