Phyllis H. Wishard

Phyllis H. Wishard, age 86 formerly of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Rose View Nursing Center, Williamsport.  Born January 8, 1935 and raised in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late William N. Heck and Bertha (Hartman) Heck Garnish.  Phyllis shared her birth date with Elvis Presley; she never wondered how old she was because every year it was on the front page news "Elvis would have been 'xx' old today".  She always said she was glad he got the money and she got the looks.  Phyllis worked for Butte Knit / Tracey Fashions from the 1960's to the 80's.  She retired and began buying and selling antiques for the next 20 years.  She collected depression glass, pitchers and halls teapots and cookie jars.  She was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church.  Phyllis is survived by her son, David W. and Leslie Wishard of Westfield; grandson, James Mapstone of Orem, UT; her sister, Nancy and Edward Colestock of Liverpool, PA and several nieces.  Services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made to the King Street United Brethren Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.  Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Westfield. www.kenyonfuneralhome.com.
