Raymond E. Ogden, age 88 of Lawrenceville passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY. Born June 9, 1933 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Viola (Ruskuski) Odgen. Raymond served in the US Navy during the Korean War and retired from Dresser Rand, where he was the foreman in the valve and regulator department. He married Phyllis Jean Parker and they shared 52 years together until her passing on October 26, 2014. Raymond was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and a life member of the American Legion, Tioga, PA holding the commander office for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed sports; golfing and coaching baseball, playing cards, coffee with his buddies and especially spending time with his grandkids. He loved family time and holidays with the family. Raymond is survived by his children, Ron E. Ogden of Alexandria Bay, NY, Randell J. and MaryAnn Ogden of Fairport, NY and Cheryl O. and Matthew Sottolano of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Hailey and Christopher Ogden, Lindsay, Alyssa and Lauren Ogden and Kade, Luke and Michael; three sisters, Sue Flaherty of Webster, NY, Gail and Beau Baregard and Janet and Phil Okolowicz of Rochester, NY; brother in law, Richard Parker of Lawrenceville; special niece and nephew, Shannon and Frank DiStefano and Chad and Amy Okolowicz and several other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Monday, Oct. 11th from 12:00 - 1:30PM. A funeral mass will be held immediately following at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 2:00 PM with Father Joseph Mosley officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Powers Cemetery.
