Richard K. Koester

Richard K. Koester, age 69 of Westfield, PA passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Corning Hospital. He was born August 25, 1952 in Gowanda, NY. He was the son of the late William and Donna (Robbins) Koester. Richard married Karen Ofner and they would have celebrated 10 loving years together on December 24, 2021.

Richard had many different jobs throughout the years. For a handful of years he worked at Dresser Industries in Wellsboro, PA, then he worked as a milk truck driver for a few years and after that he worked for PennDot until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, driving his side by side with his wife and helping to build or fix things with his children. He also spent a lot of time with his loving family.

Richard is survived by his wife Karen; children, Annessa (Walter) Bieser of Cowanesque, PA, Boyd (Crissie) Koester of Cowanesque, PA, Brian (Kim) Koester of Cowanesque, PA and Nicholas (Aliesha) Galayda of Boliver, NY; 13 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; sister Susan Koester of Crystal River, FL; and brother William S. Koester Jr. of Cowanesque, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Koester.   Calling hours will be held Friday evening November 19, 2021 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Jemison Valley Church, Westfield and on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with the memorial service starting at 2:00 pm. The family asks that anyone who wishes to attend wear casual clothing because that’s what Richard would’ve wanted.
