Roger D. Main

Roger D. Main, age 77 of Osceola, PA passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Corning Hospital. Born on March 18, 1944 in Elkland, PA he was the son of the late Walter and Bernice (Haines) Main. Roger married Brenda Nelson and they spent several loving years together. He served many years in the Navy and he was proud of it. He also worked for Westinghouse for about 10 years and he worked at Ingersoll-Rand as a machinist. Roger was an all-around family man, spending as much time as he could with his family and enjoying every moment of it. He also enjoyed hunting, traveling to Colorado to Elk hunt and family get togethers. He was a member of the American Legion and the Osceola Ambulance Association and Fire Department. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Nelson) Main; son, Shannon Main of Osceola, PA; daughter-in-law, Sherri Main of Osceola, PA; grandchildren, Stefan (Alyssa) Main of Osceola, PA and Skylar (Tyler) Trimble of Lawrenceville, PA; great-grandchildren, Oliver Main and Baby Trimble due in February; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by son, Shawn Main; two brothers, Rodney Main and Forrest Main; sister, Florella Gabel; several special nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. Family and friends can gather at Kenyon Funeral Home – Elkland on Thursday January 13, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm for calling hours. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00pm with Alan Goodrich officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Highland Cemetery, Elkland following the service.
