Rosetta Learn

Rosetta Learn, aged 72, of Elkland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born on April 3, 1951, in Elmira, NY, she was the cherished daughter of John Bachert and Mabel (Miles) Rosky. Rosetta's life was a tapestry of love, commitment, and hard work. She shared many beautiful years with her beloved husband, Terrance "Terry" Learn, creating a home filled with warmth and joy. Rosetta's professional life was varied and fulfilling. She contributed her skills at Five Star Busy Mart, served with a smile as a waitress at the Green Shingles, and was a valued team member at Martin’s car dealership. Her talents extended beyond her professional endeavors. Rosetta was an avid crocheter and an exceptional baker. She found great joy in teaching her granddaughters the art of baking, passing on family recipes and the warmth of her kitchen. Rosetta's legacy lives on through her loving husband, Terry, and her devoted sons: Chester L. Bachert of Wilmington, NC; Terrance D. (Shusan) Learn, Jr. of Stafford, VA; Joshua B. Learn of Stafford, VA; Richard R. Learn of Nevada; Brett M. Learn of Elkland; and Seth and Chad Sheridan of TN. Her grandchildren, Sharise, Kelsey, Carlie, Savannah, Sierra, Joshua, Miles, Koltyn, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Brennen, and Brooks, and great-granddaughters, Ava Rose and Lily Joy, will forever cherish their memories with her. Rosetta is also survived by her mother, Mabel; her sister Sharon, and brother Andy Rosky. Her life, filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of her kitchen, will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family welcomes friends to join them in celebrating Rosetta's life at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Saturday, Nov. 25th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM with Lt. Col.
