Ruth E. Day

Ruth Elizabeth Day, age 65 of Tioga passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at UPMC Wellsboro.  Born December 28, 1955 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Evelyn (Wagner) Weaver.  Ruth married Richard D. Day and they spent 45 years together.  She was a tax preparer for H & R Block and a member of the Butler Hill Baptist Church, where she taught bible school and Sunday school.  Ruth started every morning with a devotional from the bible.  She enjoyed crafts, camping, sitting around a campfire star gazing, 4th of July with her sisters and family and her favorite show was I Love Lucy.  She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; two sons, Jason and Angela Day of Elkland and Matthew and Arianne of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, William and Evalyn; two sisters, Donna and Paul Dombrowski of Delafield, WI and Lily and Harold Unger of Gettysburg and a brother in law, Dave Myers of Gettysburg.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Myers.  Family will receive friends at the Butler Hill Baptist Church, Knoxville on Thursday, October 28 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM with Rev. William O'Neil. Burial will be in the Farmington Hill Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's honor to the Butler Hill Baptist Church, 1141 Butler Hill Rd., Knoxville, PA 16928.
