Sandra (Sandy) Louise Caffo, age 79, of Elkland, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born in Osceola PA on December 22, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Virginia (Ludlam) Sahrle. A graduate of Elkland High School, Sandy was married soon after on April 8, 1961 to Thomas A. Caffo. Sandy shared 60 wonderful years together with Tom as a devoted wife, devout catholic, and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. A lifetime lover of all sports, Sandy was an outstanding bowler, Cinderella softball coach, and passionate fan, especially when it came to her grandchildren’s events as she was actively involved in cheering on all of their activities. She was a fierce card-playing competitor and loved the thrill of a casino. Sandy also enjoyed relaxing trips to the ocean and delighted in seeing the ponies on Assateague Island with her husband. Well-known for whipping up a batch of something sweet on request, she was a great cook and was often found working her magic in the kitchen, making sure her creations had all the right amount of laughter and love. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; two daughters, Holly (Richard) Baker of Gettysburg and Christina LeBaron of Watkins Glen; grandchildren, Anthony (Kaitlyn Kuhn) James, Thomas Baker, Melinda Baker, Elyssa (Paul Thomas) LeBaron and Olivia LeBaron; three great grandchildren, Finnegan and Lochlan James and Elayna Thomas; her brother, Edward (Roberta) Sahrle; her sisters, Charlene Cass and twin sister Sonya Reeder, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Lyla James; three brothers, Roger, Eric, and Duane Sahrle, and her sister Dawn Lyons. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland PA on Tuesday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Please wear a face mask. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, 10:00AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Joseph Mosley officiating.
