Wayne F. Sherman

Wayne F. Sherman age 74 of Lebanon, MO formerly of Elkland passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born October 6, 1947 in Elkland, he was the son of the late James and Blanche (VanZile) Sherman. Wayne worked for Marzo’s Beer Distributing and was the care taker of Highland Cemetery for many years. He played and coached softball, liked to golf and was a member of the Elkland Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Sukie; his sons, Steve Sherman of Elkland and Ben Sherman of Tuscarora; step children, Melena Reese and Marta Steffenhagen of MO, Brad Empson of Prescho, Ernie Empson of Elkland and Hugh Empson of Nelson; grandchildren, Nathan, Trisha, Nicole, Jennifer, David, Corey, Kaleb, Justin, Megan and Autumn; great grandchildren, Allison, Brenton, Chloe, Kaylee, TJ, Lane, Wyatt, Zoey, Aleah and Cameron; two sisters, Barb Potter and Irene Patterson; two brothers, Brad and Larry Sherman; his pets, Angel, Maggie and AJ and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers. Private family services will be held at their convenience. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sukie Sherman, 1120 Lake Dr., Lebanon, MO 65536 for their local SPCA.
